Shooting Stars Take Clash for the Cup

Shooting Stars travel to New Jersey to take Clash for the Cup title. 

The Shooting Stars twelve-and-under team came away with the title at this weekend's Basketball Spotlight Clash for the Cup in New Jersey. 

The Massachusetts based squad defeated NYK in the u12 blue division championship game by a margin of 47-44. 

Devandre Edwards was named the Most Valuable Player in the age bracket after finishing with 15 points in the championship game. 

"Edmonds played the post and made the most of his time at this event by scoring and grabbing boards," Basketball Spotlight said. "He has a soft touch and good footwork for a youngster."

The Shooting Stars finished the weekend with a perfect 5-0 record and were coming off a second place performance at the recent Junior Hoophall Classic.
